Central Arizona College offers a Medical Assistant Program. According to the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Medical Assistants are in demand.
“ Medical assisting is one of the nation’s fastest growing careers, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. This can be attributed to a predicted surge in the number of physicians’ offices and outpatient facilities. Technological advancements and the growing number of elderly Americans who need medical treatment are also factors for the increased demand for medical assistant.” AAMA.

University of Arizona Medical School

The University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS) is the statewide leader and beyond in biomedical research, health-care education, patient care and service.
The University of Arizona has two major medicine campuses one being in Phoenix and Tucson, they also offer a nursing and pharmacy campus located in Phoenix. The university has partnered with Banner Health, this gives students hands on experience in the medical field.

The UA Medical School offers:

• Clinical Translational Sciences PhD is designed to provide a strong foundation in clinical translational sciences for post-baccalaureate and postgraduate students.

• Clinical Translational Sciences MS Graduate Program is designed to provide a strong foundation in clinical translational sciences for post-baccalaureate and postgraduate students.

Arizona State University

ASU has partnered with Mayo Clinic to create two medical clinic campuses, they are located in Phoenix and Scottsdale. The Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in collaboration with Arizona State University has developed signature joint programs and received recognition by the American Medical Association for innovations in the medical school curriculum. The partnership helps to create new ways for students to get hands on experience and get a deeper understanding of the medical industry.
